Transportation Safety Lead Edson, Alberta, Western Alberta (Jasper)

Take charge in transportation safety as the Safety&Compliance Lead in Edson, Alberta. This pivotal position supports compliance, driver training, and operational safety in a collaborative environment.

In this role, you'll oversee the Division Driver Training School, supervising instructors and conducting evaluations for new and existing drivers. You'll ensure adherence to National Safety Code standards while maintaining records, conducting safety assessments, and spearheading a positive safety culture across the division.

Key Responsibilities:• Lead Division Driver Training School and driver evaluations • Supervise Licensed Driving Instructors and provide ongoing training • Manage Class 2 road test appointments and external training programs • Conduct compliance audits and internal record assessments • Foster safety culturethrough education and leadership meetings

Requirements:• Strong knowledge of National Safety Code and Alberta legislation • Experience in transportation safety management and school bus operations • Valid Class 1 or 2 operator’s licence with S-Endorsement • Well-developed communication and analytical skills • In-Vehicle Class 2 Instructor Certificate or willingness to obtain
