Highway Maintenance Lead Hand, Western Alberta (Jasper)

Take the lead in highway maintenance as a Lead Hand, ensuring project success and crew safety in road construction. Your expertise in guardrail installation and crack sealing is essential for this role.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Hand with a minimum of five years in road construction. You will communicate effectively with crew members, assign tasks, and enforce safety protocols while ensuring quality work that meets customer specifications. Strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in equipment maintenance are key to your success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:• Communicate job details and assign tasks effectively • Enforce safety protocols and adhere to OH&S regulations• Conduct safety meetings and hazard assessments • Monitor work quality and document completed tasks • Prepare daily production and costing reports

Requirements:• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred • Class 5 driver’s license required • 5+ years in road construction industry • Familiarity with HCSS costing software • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
