**Position: Registered Early Childhood Educator** **Term:** **One-year contract with potential to transition to permanent full-time** **Department: Childcare Centre** **Division: Life Long Learning** **Salary: Competitive salary range** **Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible to work** **three (3) rotating shifts between 7:30a.m. to 5:30p.m.** **Posting Date: December 16, 2025 Closing Date: Open Until Filled** **Job Summary** The **Registered Early Childhood Educator** (RECE) will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children within the Childcare Centre. The RECE will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate programs and activities that foster learning and development, supporting the emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of each child. Responsibilities include ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the classroom, toys, and learning materials, as well as assisting with mealtimes, rest periods, and transitions between activities. The RECE will manage behaviours, promote inclusive practices, and foster a positive and respectful atmosphere. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining detailed and accurate documentation related to the children’s progress, incidents, and attendance, as well as collaborating with families to support each child’s development. The RECE will ensure that children are supervised at all times and are actively engaged in learning experiences.
