Position Overview: As part of our team of storage consultants, you would be responsible for fostering and maintaining our reputation for unparalleled customer service in both our London and St. Thomas locations. In addition to assisting customers and renting storage units, and U-Haul trucks, you would be responsible for daily operations, product sales, and property maintenance. A Class G license, and reliable transportation is a must. This is a part-time position requiring availability on Saturdays. What Are We Looking For? As a consultant you will be required to think on your feet and multi-task. Your people skills and sales ability will help you succeed. We are a process driven industry, and focused on accurate and effective work, where people always go above and beyond in their roles if needed. Preference will be given to candidates interested in long-term employment with us. What Will You Do? Customer Service– Showing customers available storage units, renting units, trucks, and selling additional merchandise and services. Facility Operation- Opening and closing the facility, maintaining, and keeping all areas clean and presentable. This includes performing lock checks, cleaning the office, recognizing, and completing light property maintenance including clearing snow and ice, as well as a working knowledge of power tools. Ensuring all trucks are maintained, cleaned, and parked in an orderly fashion. There are administrative duties to the role, such as reading, creating, and filing reports, sending invoices, as well as collecting payments. Computer skills are a must and training will be provided to ensure you are proficient with our web based software applications. Sales– In this position, communication and sales skills are needed. Our preferred candidate is confident and enjoys interacting with people to ensure they are matched with the right storage options as well as our retail products. Once you are trained, we want a team member that will recognize opportunities, and provide feedback to optimize and promote the facilities. Compensation? We are locally owned and operated and offer industry leading compensation equal to or greater than roles in the retail, fast food, hospitality, and service industries. Hourly $18.00 to start, a travel allowance if required to travel, and potential for commission based bonus’; we are only looking for committed long term applicants. Apply Today!
