Saw Operator / Parts Fabricator (St. Thomas)

We are a heavy equipment industrial manufacturing company located in St. Thomas, Ontario that has an immediate requirement for a Saw operator / Parts fabricator that is dedicated to working with quality and innovation. Main Duties and Responsibilities: · Receive, store, handle, cut and ship metal to meet shop and customer requirements. · Fabricate metal parts using Drills, Saws, Iron worker, Milling Machine, cutting torch plasma · Able to work effectively as a team member and independently · Able to operate a fork lift and Overhead Crane · Able to work in a fast paced setting on several assignments simultaneously · Maintain a positive attitude with all employees, vendors, and customers and support the company in all decisions. · Apply all safety measures when working in the shop and with machines/ hand tools. Qualifications: · English communication (written & verbal) skills. · Ability to receive/read instructions and implement specific instructions. · Ability to read & review Blue prints. · Must have basic understanding of angles. · Knowledge of all cutting types – Band Saw, Torch, Plasma, and Shear, Knowledge of notching, punching, and Press Brake functions; Knowledge of roll equipment. · Knowledge of different material types (e.g. carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum.)
