Power up your career with us! Your Role And Key Responsibilities We are looking for a Maintenance Spare Parts Specialist who wants to CELLebrate in a rapid‑paced and fast‑changing environment. As part of the ramp‑up team at our new Canadian location, you will report to the Maintenance Manager. You will be responsible for the selection, procurement, management, and optimization of spare parts inventory to support maintenance and operational reliability. This role is responsible for ensuring that all necessary spare parts and materials are available for both planned and emergency maintenance activities. The goal is to minimize downtime and enhance equipment efficiency. Additionally, this position will facilitate smooth collaboration between central teams and local departments to establish a robust spare parts management process throughout all phases of our state‑of‑the‑art electric vehicle battery manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Spare Parts Specialist also coordinates resources across departments and ensures maintenance readiness from the pre‑launch to the production phase, always focusing on optimizing schedules using equipment performance data, minimizing downtime through collaboration with production teams, maintaining comprehensive records of production and maintenance patterns, and contributing to global and local Lessons Learned (LL) networks to drive continuous improvement. This position is full‑time in office. What You Bring To The Team Spare Parts Strategy & Planning - Define and standardize spare parts strategy aligned with maintenance and business goals Inventory & Availability Management - Maintain optimal stock levels and ensure parts availability for operations and production ramp‑up Procurement & Supplier Management - Source parts, manage vendor relationships, and resolve supplier performance issues Technical & Reliability Support - Ensure part compatibility, support failure analysis, and improve equipment reliability Systems, Compliance & Documentation - Manage CMMS data, maintain accurate records, and ensure regulatory compliance Operational & Project Support - Support production readiness, collaborate cross‑functionally, and contribute to project activities Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization - Drive efficiency, cost savings, and ongoing process improvements What Makes You Stand Out - 3+ years of experience in maintenance, spare parts management, or reliability engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, or Industrial Engineering preferred, or equivalent relevant experience - Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and pre‑launch/ramp‑up environments - Background in highly automated or process‑driven industries (e.g., Cleantech, Pharma, Chemical, Automotive) Technical Knowledge & Skills - Robust understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies - Knowledge of spare parts management, inventory control (e.g., ABC classification), and asset lifecycle management - Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation - Proficiency with CMMS and maintenance scheduling tools - Familiarity with FAT/SAT processes and industrial mechanical/electrical systems Certifications & Continuous Improvement - CMRP or equivalent certification is an asset - Exposure to methodologies such as RCM, TPM, ISO 55001, Lean/Kaizen, Six Sigma, PMP, or WCM preferred - Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and cost optimization Core Competencies - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills in rapid‑paced production environments - Ability to adapt maintenance strategies based on operational needs - Capability to train and support team members - Solid understanding of industrial safety standards and compliance What To Look Forward To - Attractive Remuneration: The expected competitive compensation range for this position is $69,870 - $104,810 CAD, which includes base pay and target amount of short term incentive plan. - Competitive benefits: program flexibility to allow you to make selections and get coverage you need. - Pension and Retirement Savings: Contribution to a Registered Pension Plan and matching contribution to a retirement savings plan. - Employee Assistance Plan: Support for mental health, physical wellness and overall wellbeing. - Vacation Allowance: Paid time off, with no need to take vacation days from December 24 to December 31. - Opportunities for development. - Relocation Support. - Opportunities to participate in company events that give back to the community.
