CNC Programmer (St. Thomas)

Our client, a well-established custom manufacturing company, is looking to add an experienced CNC Programmer / Machining Specialist to their growing team. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys working on complex components, taking ownership of setups and programming, and contributing to a high-quality production environment. This position is best suited for a hands-on machinist with strong milling experience who can confidently work independently from print to finished product. Full-Time | Day Shift | Southwestern Ontario Pay: $25.00 - $35.00/hour What You’ll Be Doing - Program, set up, and operate CNC milling equipment for custom and production machining projects - Interpret engineering drawings - Create and modify programs using CAM software - Perform tooling changes, offsets, and machine adjustments to maintain efficiency and quality - Conduct first-off inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment - Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to minimize downtime and scrap - Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cycle times, tooling, and machining processes - Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all company safety procedures - Assist with material handling and general shop responsibilities as needed Qualifications - Previous experience in CNC milling within a manufacturing or machine shop environment - Strong understanding of CNC programming and machining processes - Experience with CAD/CAM software - Ability to complete setups independently and work with tight tolerances - Comfortable using measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges - Strong blueprint reading and problem-solving abilities - Forklift or overhead crane experience considered an asset - Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety conscious What’s Offered - $25.00 - $35.00/hour based on experience - Day shift - Permanent full-time opportunity - Stable and growing manufacturing environment - Opportunity to work on advanced machining projects and equipment If you are an experienced CNC professional looking for a long-term opportunity with a strong team setting, we would like to hear from you.
