Refined Wellness Counselling Services began as a psychotherapy practice in St. Thomas, and have expanded our services with a second Sarnia-based location! We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Couples Therapist to support clients in either our Sarnia or St. Thomas locations. Clinicians are asked to have the ability to gradually commit to a minimum of ten (or more) sessions per week, including availability to work days, evenings, and weekends, as needed. You will have the flexibility of creating a hybrid schedule, however, we require therapists to offer in-person availability at our locations. We are looking for a therapist trained and experienced in couples counselling, marriage therapy, and relationship support, particularly around communication issues, conflict, emotional disconnection, infidelity, trauma, and life transitions. The ideal therapist will also be open to accepting clients for individual therapy, as our practice grows. Why Join Us? Responsibilities - Provide high-quality couples and relationship therapy using evidence-based modalities (EFT, Gottman Method, CBT, IFS, DBT) - Complete assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely manner - Offer individual sessions when helpful for relationship-focused work, as well as for clients who are seeking other types of therapy - Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory body standards - Deliver a hybrid caseload of in-person counselling and virtual sessions (our clients are primarily requesting in-person sessions; as such, the ability to work in office is a must) - Provide ethical, trauma-informed, client-centred care for couples and individuals - Support clients navigating issues such as communication problems, infidelity, conflict resolution, stress, anxiety, depression, and emotional disconnection. Qualifications - Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, or related mental health field - Registration in good standing with your respective regulatory body (OCSWSSW or CRPO). - Must have training and experience in couples therapy (EFT or Gottman preferred). - Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently within a supportive team environment - Experience supporting clients with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship conflict, trauma, and attachment issues - Professional liability insurance (required) - Clear vulnerable sector check (required) What We Offer - Competitive compensation ($ 105.00 - $ 114.00 per session), dependent on experience. - Flexible scheduling, with both in-person and telehealth options (most of our clients request in-person). - Opportunities to build a strong caseload in Sarnia or St. Thomas - Referrals, comprehensive marketing and professional visibility - Complete administrative and billing support - A warm, collaborative, trauma-informed workplace culture - Monthly team/peer support meetings - Access to professional development, consultation, and ongoing training Schedule expectations: - Day shifts - Evening shifts - Monday – Friday - Weekend shifts Work Location - Sarnia, Ontario — In-person sessions required - St. Thomas, Ontario — In-person sessions required Applicants may choose one location; availability for both is not required.
