Job Summary: The Social Media & Events Assistant plays a primary role in managing and growing our brand presence across all digital platforms, while also supporting the planning and execution of in-store and community events. Working closely with the marketing team, store managers, and other key stakeholders, this individual will create engaging content, maintain a consistent brand voice, and help coordinate marketing initiatives across all four locations. Social Media Responsibilities (Primary Focus): - Develop compelling, on-brand content for all social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant channels, ensuring posts are engaging, informative, and reflective of each store's unique value. - Manage and monitor all social media accounts across all four locations, maintaining a consistent posting schedule and brand identity. - Create and schedule posts, respond to comments and messages, engage with followers, and monitor online reviews to uphold a positive brand image. - Attend store events to capture live footage, photos, and behind-the-scenes content for use across social media platforms. - Track and analyze social media performance metrics, and adjust content strategies to improve reach, engagement, and follower growth. - Research trends, seasonal opportunities, and local community topics to keep content fresh and relevant. Events & Marketing Responsibilities (Secondary Focus): - Support the planning and execution of in-store events, community outreach programs, and workshops that build customer relationships and reinforce the stores' position as trusted community resources across all four locations. - Assist in the design and delivery of marketing campaigns, including print and digital advertisements, social media promotions, and other targeted initiatives. - Collaborate with the ownership team and store managers to understand location-specific needs and tailor event and marketing efforts for maximum impact. - Cultivate relationships with local media outlets and community influencers to help secure coverage and promote special events or initiatives. - Other duties as required. Application Requirements: Candidates are required to submit a portfolio or examples of work showcasing their experience in social media content creation, event promotion, and marketing campaigns. Expectations: - Create a memorable and informative experience for every customer. - Treat all employees and customers with professionalism and respect. - Adhere to the customer service standards established by ownership. - Foster a positive work workplace that supports high employee productivity and morale. - Lead by example by consistently following all company policies and procedures. - Work safely and in accordance with all applicable provincial and federal safety legislation, exercising good judgment at all times. Report any potential hazards or unsafe behaviour to management promptly. - Attend store meetings and training sessions as required. - Maintain current safety training certifications annually or as otherwise directed. - Experience with video editing software and graphic design will be considered an asset. - Having a valid driver's license and/or reliable access to a vehicle will be considered an asset.
