Program Leader / Activity Instructor (St. Albert)

Overview We are seeking a passionate and engaging Program Leader / Activity Instructor to join our team. The Program Leader / Activity Instructor is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities for campers. This role focuses on creating high-quality programs, supporting staff, and ensuring activities are safe, inclusive, and run smoothly.Key Responsibilities - Design and develop a variety of structured daily and weekly camp activities (sports, arts, educational, and recreational programs) - Lead and facilitate activities in an engaging, inclusive, and safe manner - Prepare materials and equipment needed for activities in advance - Ensure activities run on schedule and adapt plans as needed - Modify programs to meet diverse camper needs and abilities - Provide guidance and support to Camp Counselors, staff, and volunteers - Maintain a secure workplace following all policies and child protection guidelines - Monitor participation and adjust activities to maximize engagement - Collaborate with Camp Supervisor and team members for program success - Manage activity spaces, materials, and equipment efficiently - Prepare materials and equipment needed for daily devotion - Qualifications - Experience working with children or youth in camps, schools, or recreational programs; Experience planning and leading group activities - Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to engage and motivate children of various ages and abilities - Knowledge of child safety and behavior management practices - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Creative, energetic, and adaptable - First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) - Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check Pay: $17.00 per hour Benefits: - In office parking Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ol2u2
