Why apply? - Company benefits - Referral Program incentives - PPE Allowance - Financial assistance for apprentices - Employee assistance programs - Consistent work Detailed Job Description: - reads and interprets drawings, blueprints , and electrical code specifications to determine layouts of industrial electrical equipment installations - test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance - installs examines, replaces or repairs AC/DC motors and drivers ,PLC’s 480V power, 120V control circuits, 4160 volt switchgear, transformers, motors, starters, relays and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical contrails - installs, examines, replaces or repairs electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber optic, and coaxial cables assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components - performs preventive maintenance inspections and testing of various electrical systems(including power distribution equipment) - sizes and installs electrical circuits including panels, wire size and type, conduit , protective devices, switches, and related equipment needed to comply with CEC and/or NEC - quickly repairs electrical failure and replace parts where incorrect applications could cause danger and hazardous conditions - corrects wiring and connections on machinery controls where incorrect applications could cause danger and hazardous conditions - fabricates, installs and/or runs conduit. 3-phase work, motor terminations could cause damage and troubleshooting and panel work - works on systems operating at 240 volts wye, 480volts wye, 480 volts delta, 4160volt switchgear, ammeters and Pc’s - conducts preventions maintenance programs and keeps maintenance records - may install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices - complies with standards and procedures of the medallion health and safety manual and occupational health and safety regulations - must make reasonable efforts in trade advancement Requirements: - Must be indentured into the trade - Must have a flexible work schedule – shift work, overtime and weekend availability - Valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Fall Arrest, Aerial Work Platform and CSO - Valid class 5 drivers’ license (clean drivers abstract is an asset with no GDL and 3 year driving history) - Industrial oil & gas experience is an asset - Must be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently - Dedicated to safety, quality and customer service - Must be reliable and dependable ( i.e. punctual and ready to work) If you feel you are the right person for the job and possess the qualities and skills we look for, we look forward to reviewing your resume.
