Public Health Dietitian I Alberta

Become a vital part of Alberta's health community as a Dietitian I with AHS. In this hybrid role, you'll enhance public health through nutrition education and effective care strategies. As a Dietitian I, you will provide nutrition expertise in various health settings across Alberta, including community health centers and schools. You'll assess nutritional needs, develop care plans, and implement public health programs aimed at promoting healthy living. Engaging with diverse populations, the role encourages addressing health disparities and establishing supportive food environments for those at greater risk. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct nutrition assessments for patients in AHS facilities • Develop and evaluate tailored nutrition care plans • Deliver public health nutrition education and programs • Analyze data to assess program effectiveness • Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition • Completion of accredited internship or practicum • Active registration with College of Dietitians of Alberta • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills • Valid Class 5 driver’s license required Support the health of Albertans through expert nutrition strategies as a Dietitian I in this impactful role.
