About the Prospect Interim Controller on a 6‑month contract basis in a high‑volume e‑commerce environment. Build and stabilize the accounting function post‑acquisition Design the chart of accounts and core finance processes from scratch Help evaluate, select, and implement the accounting system Manage monthly accounting activities in a high‑volume e‑commerce setting Own monthly close and quarterly SEC financial reporting Manage AP/AR across a high‑volume Shopify‑based e‑commerce model (small ticket, high transaction count) Partner on integrating additional acquisitions into the financial infrastructure Collaborate on broader tech stack design (CRM, sales/marketing, KPIs, accounting) About You 7–10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience Prior startup or ground‑up build experience – comfortable in unstructured environments Hands‑on operator: willing to roll up sleeves Self‑starter who can figure things out independently Highly cooperative – will work closely with 2–4 stakeholders across themes US GAAP familiarity is an asset Publicly traded / SEC reporting experience is an asset E‑commerce or Shopify exposure is an asset Experience deploying AI‑enabled finance tools is an asset Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of colour, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign‑born residents, and veterans to apply.
