Job Details The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Public Operations department as an Electrician. Reporting to the Team Lead, Facility Services, this position will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, inspection, alteration, and installation of electrical systems across a wide range of municipal facilities. These facilities vary in age, function, and complexity and include critical and integrated electrical systems. The position ensures electrical systems are maintained safely, reliably, and in compliance with applicable legislation, codes, City policies and the City of St. Albert Environmental Management System. Qualifications - Journeyperson Electrician certificate recognized by the Province of Alberta, with 5 years of electrical maintenance experience specifically related to operating and maintaining building electrical systems in commercial, institutional, or municipal facilities. - Demonstrated experience with electrical distribution systems, fire alarm systems, and integrated building systems. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to electrical systems. - Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work across multiple facilities. Hours of Work - 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday. - Participation in the standby roster will be required.
