How You’ll Make an Impact Report to the Director, Human Resources. Provide timely advice and coaching on employee relations, performance development, and management. Proactively handle employee relations, building strong relationships with employees and leaders. Support implementation of HR programs, providing change management, training, and follow‑up. Analyze and recommend on complex employee situations aligned with corporate culture and policy. Collaborate with business area leadership to promote a healthy work environment and engaged employees. Conduct investigations and present findings and recommended actions. Provide subject‑matter expertise in HR policies & strategy through consulting, collaboration, facilitation, and presentations. Work with leaders on AMA’s compensation philosophy and equity principles. Collaborate with HR team to ensure consistent support across business areas. Support people programs: performance reviews, development plans, engagement surveys. Maintain HR data and metrics for reporting and decision‑making. Conduct and analyse exit interviews, making actionable recommendations. Maintain knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards, Canada Labour Code, and related legislation. Seek operational efficiencies in HR programs and processes through ongoing review. What You Bring to the Table Post‑secondary education in a relevant field. Five to ten years of progressive HR experience, using a consultative approach. Proven ability to handle multiple concurrent initiatives and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment. CPHR designation or working toward it, participation in local HR community preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to form strong relationships at all levels. Resilient in shifting priorities and high‑intensity situations. Track record in energetic, multi‑faceted organizations. Ability to work calmly, courteously, and effectively with diverse people. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems; capable of creating, formatting, and analysing data. High attention to detail and accuracy, especially in data handling.
