Junior Civil Engineering Technologist (CET) - Edmonton, AB …, Alberta

Role Description Arcadis is searching for a Junior Civil Engineering Technologist to join its Edmonton, AB office. The position is within the global business area Places, supporting clients worldwide to create smart, safe, and sustainable environments. The role focuses on land development projects including subdivisions, commercial and industrial sites, and public sector infrastructure such as roads, transit, deep utilities, and streetscape projects. Role Accountabilities Design and draft civil works drawings for land development projects. Assist the CAD Team with developing plans, section details, schedules, and quantity take-offs. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency. Complete tasks assigned by Engineers. Identify, resolve, and communicate technical issues. Coordinate sub‑consultants and municipal approvals. Prepare detailed construction drawings and details. Provide quality control on drafting, presentations, and design of drawing packages. Qualifications and Experience Diploma in Civil Technology or Engineering Design and Drafting (essential). 3+ years of related experience. Solid knowledge of AutoCAD. Excellent organizational, computer, and writing skills. Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and Word. Experience drafting and assisting on tender documents, technical specifications, schedule of quantities, and construction cost estimates (asset). Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude; capable of working in a team atmosphere. Proficient in Civil 3D (2020 and up). Registered or ability to become registered with ASET (required). Compensation Salary range: $60,000 – $75,000. Base salary may vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
