Job Overview RECRUITER – Full time, On‑site at Fort McKay/Wood Buffalo Region. The recruiter will collaborate with management and operations to attract, screen, and hire talent within the heavy equipment and rental industry. This role works 12‑hour days on a 7‑on 7 rotation and requires a presence on site. Responsibilities Collaborate with managers to define job qualifications and requirements. Manage the recruitment process within the Human Resource Management System. Review resumes and pre‑screen surveys and source candidates via online platforms, career fairs, networking, educational institutes, and direct sourcing. Develop and maintain strong candidate pipelines and maintain detailed candidate records. Schedule and conduct initial phone or in‑person interviews; facilitate the full interview process, including reference checks. Actively participate in job fairs and branding initiatives to attract top talent. Provide innovative strategies for talent acquisition, assist with orientation as required, and create recruitment‑related reports. Serve as an on‑site liaison between operations and HR, supporting managers and teams. Core Competencies Passionate about identifying ideal candidates. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of progressive recruitment experience. Certificate or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent. Knowledge of Canadian provincial legislation. Experience in policy and procedure development. Strong network building and relationship management. Self‑motivated and able to work independently; team player within the department. Solid organizational skills and ability to manage tight deadlines. High ethical standards and confidentiality. Excellent verbal and written communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience delivering presentations to large groups. Familiarity with ADP is an asset. Understanding of heavy equipment products, services, and related industries.
