Civil Engineer (Calgary) (Alberta)

We are looking for a Civil Engineer with a diverse background in infrastructure and/or oil and gas to join our group in Calgary. As the successful candidate, you will have the prospect to collaborate with the team and plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of civil projects. Responsibilities Perform civil design for a variety of projects such as infrastructure upgrades and subdivision developments, including design and construction of water, sewer, drainage, and transportation infrastructure A strong background in water resources is preferred Provide technical guidance to a team of EITs and designers to deliver preliminary to detailed design drawings and specifications Carry out estimates of project costs, analysis and calculations, design review, preparation of reports and contract documentation Interface directly with clients, team members, contractors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations Ensure completion of work within allotted schedules and budgets to high quality standards Assist in creating a work plan that includes a schedule, milestones, control, and risk factors Proactively resolve performance, scope, and schedule issues as they arise Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (other disciplines encouraged to apply if practicing Civil Engineering) Must be registered (or eligible to register) as a Professional Engineer (P.
