Accountant (Alberta)

Our client is looking for an Accountant to play a critical role in supporting its accounting operations in Grande Prairie. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys owning their work, working independently, and being trusted with key accounting responsibilities. Reporting directly to the Accounting Supervisor, this is a newly created role due growth and recent acquisitions. What You’ll Be Responsible For Support the month-end close process Manage accounts payable activities and related processes Maintain accurate and complete financial records Contribute to process improvement and overall team effectiveness What You Bring Post‑secondary education in accounting or finance coupled with 3‑5+ years of relevant accounting experience preferably in a fast‑paced and evolving environment Working towards a recognised accounting designation is an asset Strong accounting systems and software knowledge Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative while maintaining the ability to meet deadlines Strong organisation skills, attention to detail and high‑level of accuracy, and strong ability to follow‑through on tasks What You’ll Get The prospect to work for a stable and well‑established organisation with long‑term career opportunities Hands‑on work where your impact is visible and valued Competitive compensation package and great mentorship!
