As demand continues to grow, we are seeking someone who enjoys solving complex problems and becoming the trusted expert customers rely on when facing challenging excavation and shoring situations. Position Overview The Technical Trench Safety Sales Specialist serves as the first technical point of contact for contractors, project managers, estimators, safety professionals, and rental partners seeking trench safety expertise. In this role, you will evaluate projects, recommend configurations, develop preliminary shoring solutions, support quotations, and become an internal expert on GroundWorks systems. This is not a traditional sales role . You will become a trusted advisor that customers turn to when they need practical, engineered solutions for complex excavation and trench safety challenges. Key Responsibilities Review customer drawings, excavation requirements, and project details to recommend solutions. Develop preliminary layouts and recommend appropriate GroundWorks configurations. Provide technical support to contractors, foremen, operators, estimators, engineers, safety managers, and rental companies. Answer technical questions regarding configurations and offer protected assembly procedures. Qualify incoming leads and support the sales process through quoting, CRM updates, follow-up, and proposal support. Conduct customer training, support demonstrations, and attend trade shows or industry events. Gather customer feedback and provide insight into market needs and product improvements. Education Preferred Civil Engineering Technology (CET) Civil Engineering Technologist Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) Construction Engineering Technology Engineering Degree (Civil preferred) Equivalent field experience will be considered. Experience Preferred Underground construction Utility construction Trench safety Excavation Pipeline construction Municipal infrastructure Heavy Civil construction Technical Skills Construction drawings Excavation practices Underground utilities Basic geotechnical concepts Construction equipment Estimating Ability to Learn GroundWorks products Shoring design concepts Safe assembly procedures Compensation Base Salary: $60,000–$120,000 annually Based on: Industry experience Technical capability Construction background Why Join GroundWorks?
