The Chance: VetWise is expanding and seeking passionate Remote Veterinarians licensed in Alberta to join our growing network! As part of our network, you maintain control over your schedule. You may claim consultations based on your availability and professional preference. This role allows you to practice veterinary medicine in a flexible capacity while enhancing access to care for pet owners and alleviating the workload for hospitals. Your Role: - Provide virtual consultations for pet owners in Alberta and additional provinces where you hold licensure in accordance with applicable telemedicine regulations - Collaborate with hospitals to support their patient needs - Opportunity to provide care for exotics if desired Our Requirements: - Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) - Unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in Alberta - A minimum of 2 years' experience as a practicing veterinarian - Strong client communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and critical thinking abilities - Experience working with exotic species is considered an asset - Preference will be given to candidates licensed in multiple provinces, including: AB, BC, ON, NB, NL, PE - A passion for improving access to veterinary care Why Join Us? - Be part of a growing, innovative company that values a people first approach to teamwork and relationships - Enjoy schedule flexibility - Work remotely from the comfort of your home - Potential opportunity to transition into a scheduled-shift role in the future for selected candidates Schedule - This is a casual/on-demand role - Consultations are available based on client volume and our services are offered 24/7, 365 days of the year Location - Remote - Licensed in the province of Alberta Compensation - Compensation is commission-based and varies depending on the species and consult type.
