Responsibilities - Consult with clients to understand their hair styling needs and preferences - Perform various hair services including cuts, color, styling, and texturizing services - Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools - Upsell retail products to enhance client results and increase sales - Provide outstanding customer service by creating a friendly and professional atmosphere - Manage front desk duties such as, checking in clients, phone inquiries and handling payments - Educate clients on hair care routines and product recommendations - Stay current with industry trends and techniques through ongoing education Skills - Strong customer service skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships - Proficiency in hair styling, coloring, cutting, and texturizing services - Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in a salon environment - Ability to upsell retail products effectively without being pushy - Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and explain services clearly - Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is a plus - Friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for the beauty industry - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Pay: From $15.00 per hour Benefits: - Dental care - On-site parking - Store discount Licence/Certification: - Hair Stylist Licence from an accredited beauty college (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pjn50
