The Role Principal, Strategy & Operations (Banking) As a Principal of Strategy & Operations, you will drive growth, profitability, and architectural design of Neo's product lines. You will lead strategic initiatives, own P&L; for core product lines, and shape the long‑term operational roadmap toward the company's vision. Responsibilities Strategic Development : Identify, define, and execute opportunities to deliver incremental growth and profitability within Neo’s deposit‑based product lines. Own P&L;, optimize unit economics, and ensure the financial health of the business line meets aggressive scaling targets. Cross‑Functional Orchestration : Serve as the connective tissue between Product, Marketing, and Finance. Lead high‑stakes workstreams to guarantee product launches are technically sound and commercially viable. Advanced Analytics & Insight : Build narrative‑driven frameworks that define Neo’s success metrics. Use data to challenge assumptions and pivot strategies in real time. Institutional Stewardship : Partner with senior leadership and Finance & Administration to align the roadmap with capital and investor expectations. Mentorship & Culture : Coach junior associates and establish best‑in‑class operational standards across the company. Qualifications Experience : 6–10+ years in high‑growth environments; typically a background in top‑tier management consulting (MBB), private equity, or investment banking, followed by roles in strategy or operations at a high‑growth startup. Mindset : “Founder in a box” – able to zoom out for strategy and zoom in on spreadsheets and operational performance. Technical & Quantitative Mastery : Expert in financial modeling, strategic frameworks, and operational reporting. Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python is expected. Executive Presence : Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and external partners, defending data‑driven positions, and driving consensus. Domain Expertise : Deep familiarity with the Canadian financial landscape (lending, deposits, or payments) and its regulatory, operational, and competitive moats. Resilience : Proven track record of thriving in high‑pressure, “move‑fast‑and‑break‑things” environments while maintaining rigor. Compensation Salary: CA$110,000 – CA$160,000 Equity: Eligible full‑time team members share in the upside of the company.
