Your Prospect The Dietitian I is a frontline professional position within Nutrition Services, reporting to the Manager of Nutrition Services, South Zone. The role involves nutrition assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition care plans for home‑living, supportive‑living and adult‑home enteral clients in Lethbridge. The Home Living practice area requires visiting a diverse client population in their homes to offer education and counselling, supporting their goals to remain healthy. Supportive Living requires visiting clients in various facilities, working collaboratively with families and staff to manage nutrition concerns. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in both facility and community settings to achieve nutrition and health outcomes using a patient‑focused approach. Living in Lethbridge provides a vibrant, multicultural urban centre within close proximity to the Rocky Mountains. This position may qualify for a recruitment incentive of up to $500 per pay period based on the length of Return for Service. Description As a Dietitian I, you may provide nutrition expertise to patients (clients, residents) in various AHS facilities and community settings. Responsibilities include nutrition assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition care plans, planning and delivering public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention for clients or groups, and providing nutrition education to students and other health‑care professionals. Job Details Classification: Dietitian I Union: HSAA Facility PROF/TECH Unit and Program: Adult Home Care and Supportive Living, adult home enteral Primary Location: Melcor Centre Location Detail: Eligible to work hybrid (on/off site) within Alberta FTE: 0.80 Shift Pattern: Days Days Off: Saturday/Sunday Salary: $41.88 – $55.70 per hour Vehicle Requirement: Driver's License, Vehicle Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition. Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Active or eligible registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA). Additional Required Qualifications Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Preferred Qualifications 1–2 years' experience as a Registered Dietitian. Experience with enteral nutrition. Experience with home care, supportive living or outpatients. Experience in nutrition counselling for behaviour change.
