Civil Engineer (North Central Edmonton) (Alberta)

PS Technology Inc. (PSTI) is a power engineering consulting firm based in Alberta and Western Canada. Position Civil Engineer – Substation and Power Delivery Facilities Responsibilities Structural Engineering. Development of design criteria, structure design, foundation design, building design, and related works, including steel structure, tubular steel structures, fire walls, and foundations (drilled pier, shallow/pad, spread footing). Application of design packages such as Visual Analysis, STAAD.Pro, Risa, LPILE, MFAD, and CAISSON. Site (Civil) Engineering. Development of design criteria; grading & drainage design; access road design (paved/unpaved, vehicle maneuvering modeling, haul road analysis); specification & design of retaining, perimeter walls, fences, gates; stormwater drawing design; specification & interpretation of hydrology studies; ACAD Civil 3D experience preferred. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering; 5+ years of civil engineering experience. Experience with ACAD Civil 3D preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, solid organization and planning skills, ability to work in a team environment, commitment to quality and accuracy, and willingness to meet fast‑paced project schedules. P.Eng. license required. US PE license may be required. The successful applicant must be knowledgeable of applicable codes, standards and design tools, and may be subject to client‑mandated drug and background checks.
