Description
Pay Range: $105,800–$145,500 annual (base salary). Eligible for incentive bonus. Responsibilities Initiate strategies to create a robust workforce plan addressing current and future organizational needs, including workforce size and structure. Facilitate annual HR processes such as compensation planning, open enrollment, succession planning, affirmative action plan development, and other required processes. Coach managers in understanding employee issues and concerns, underlying causes, and promote direct lines of communication between employees and management. Conduct thorough investigations and develop solutions to complex employee issues and concerns. Advises managers on local labor and compliance issues and legal matters. Provides positive employee relations expertise. Acts as a change agent with experience in change‑management methodology. Demonstrates experience with talent management, including recruitment, succession planning, and employee development. Exhibits strong project management and leadership skills. Has solid problem‑resolution and negotiation skills. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years in a human‑resources role (considered acceptable without a degree if a minimum of 12 years in HR). Minimum 1 year HR experience in manufacturing or a similar environment. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Experience working in manufacturing/industrial environments. Background in California employment laws and rules. Experience coaching and counseling employees. Strong performance‑management knowledge with emphasis on objective‑based appraisal processes. Solid problem‑resolution and influencing skills. Strong verbal, written, and presentation/facilitation communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Manages a staff of 2 salary employees, sets direction, and deploys resources. Responsible for performance conversations, pay reviews, hiring, and termination. Abilities: work in team environments, climb stairs, extensive walking, and work in hot and cold conditions. Ability to work a flexible schedule or after hours as needed. Ability to be on call as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ADP payroll and report writing. Experience with Workday. PHR or SPHR certifications.
