Job Title: Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis Reports to: Director, Finance Department: Finance Location: Calgary Schedule: Full-time Work Setting: In-Office Job Summary Trans Mountain Corporation seeks a collaborative, motivated, and values-driven individual to lead financial planning and analysis. The Manager will oversee a team of professionals, align financial plans with organizational goals, and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of the annual budget and ongoing financial forecasts that support organizational performance objectives. Transform forecasts into actionable tools that drive, measure, and improve financial performance. Align and communicate financial plans across the organization to ensure shared vision, adoption, and direction. Monitor and analyze financial trends, costs, and performance drivers to support functional management reporting deliverables. Evaluate current practices and recommend fit‑for‑purpose solutions to enhance systems, policies, processes, and financial controls. Guide and develop the team and influence cross‑functional stakeholders. Lead with an elevated problem‑solving mindset while building, developing, and empowering the team. Partner closely with business leaders to align deliverables with business priorities, improving visibility into performance drivers and enabling operational excellence. Qualifications & Professional Experience Post‑secondary education in business administration, economics, commerce, or related discipline. Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required. A minimum of 10 years of financial experience. At least 3+ years in a people management or senior supervisory role with accountability for team performance and delivery in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis. Proven track record of delivering high‑quality work while effectively managing competing priorities and supporting key business and operational functions. Strong ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, respectfully and professionally. A supportive and collaborative leader who values mentoring, coaching, and building strong teams, and who approaches difficult conversations with empathy and clarity. Experience managing financial operations, including forecasting and vendor oversight, within complex environments. Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail in fast‑paced settings.
