Responsibilities Identify complex financial planning needs and solutions for clients by considering the client’s wealth, life goals and other objectives. Serve as a resource for clients with complex needs surrounding financial planning, investments, insurance, tax management, retirement analysis, estate planning, succession planning, etc. Develop recommendations and identify areas of opportunity to assist clients in achieving their financial goals. Execute the financial planning cycle by creating, editing and proofing financial plans. Execute and manage the discovery and delivery process with clients. Liaise between investment dealers, accountants, lawyers and insurance professionals. Perform other financial planning tasks including but not limited to: meeting preparation, RRSP, RESP and TFSA account tracking, research assignments, preparing report packages and completing data entry in financial planning software. Qualifications Completed CFP designation; post‑graduate diploma in Financial Planning or related discipline is a strong asset. Completed CPA designation; post‑graduate diploma in accounting or related discipline is a strong asset. Ideally 5–7 years of experience in the wealth/financial planning industry. Inquisitive, curious attitude with a continuous improvement mindset. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport and trust with clients. Experience utilizing planning software; proficient with MS Office programs (especially Word and Excel); experience with tax planning software is an asset.
