What you’ll do Provide subject‑matter expertise and day‑to‑day administration for Video Management Systems (VMS), Access Control, and related physical security platforms. Design, deploy, upgrade, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot digital physical security systems at field and office locations. Support and administer Access Management programs, including identity and access card issuance, lost‑card processes, and contractor badge requests. Maintain and update access control policies, restricted access records, and required approvals; conduct monthly and quarterly access‑control audits and produce configuration and compliance reports. Own all application patching, server upgrades and Windows patching work. Provide SME‑level operational technical support to the Threat Response and Communication Centre (TRAC2). Collaborate extensively with internal IT teams (EUS, CSO, Network, Projects) and manage relationships with system integrators and vendors. Support innovation initiatives, technology roadmaps, and continuous improvement across the physical security product lifecycle. Maintain accurate documentation, standards and system records while participating in corporate security reviews and initiatives. Minimum Qualifications University, college or trade‑school education in a related discipline, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of relevant experience supporting or designing physical security systems. Preferred Qualifications Proven hands‑on experience deploying, troubleshooting and maintaining VMS and Access Control systems. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and enterprise IT environments. Solid understanding of network systems and operational concepts. Experience with ticketing systems, documentation tools and operational support platforms (ServiceNow). Solid analytical, problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong understanding of network architecture (IP, VLANs, segmentation) and physical layers (field devices, controllers, cabling) applied to design and integration of physical security systems. Understanding of SD‑WAN and logical network segmentation principles, including how logical separation supports secure integration of physical security systems. Working knowledge of ITSM metrics and service performance tracking, including KPIs (SLAs, incident response, uptime, etc.) to drive operational improvements. Ability to work cross‑functionally with technical and non‑technical stakeholders at multiple levels. Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal, documentation and presentation skills. Capability to translate technical security concepts into concise, actionable business communication. Process‑oriented mindset with a focus on reliability, security and continuous improvement. Hands‑on experience with Genetec Security Center or similar enterprise physical security platforms. Experience with access control platforms such as Genetec, Lenel, C‑Cure 9000. Familiarity with physical security hardware including cameras, access devices, intercoms, intrusion and detection systems, including ability to build and troubleshoot these devices. Physical Security or industry‑recognized certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP). Experience with system imaging, custom scripting or proprietary OS deployment processes. Familiarity with project management, process improvement methodologies or industry security standards.
