Airswift is partnering with a key Oil & Gas client to find an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer contract Senior Electrical Engineer provides high-quality electrical engineering services to Client and its customers. This role is responsible for the technical execution of electrical engineering work across projects, supporting delivery to scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements, while contributing to mentoring and technical development within the electrical engineering team. Accredited Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. 10+ years of experience in the EPC/Oil and Gas industry Solid experience in electrical engineering roles on multidisciplinary projects. Demonstrated ability to develop, review, and interpret electrical designs, drawings, and technical documentation. Deliver electrical engineering services that meet Client, client, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget. Responsibilities Leading the execution of electrical engineering activities on assigned projects or defined project scopes. Supporting project planning and delivery, including participation in relevant meetings, preparation of progress reports, and compliance with required checking and quality assurance procedures. Ensuring project scope is clearly defined and that changes are managed in accordance with project change management processes. Providing technical input and support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, including: Preparation and review of electrical equipment and materials requisitions Technical bid evaluations Coordinating electrical engineering activities with multidisciplinary teams (process, instrumentation, mechanical, piping, automation) to ensure integrated project delivery. Supporting the development and technical review of electrical engineering deliverables. Providing technical guidance and mentoring to intermediate and junior engineers and designers as required. Communicating effectively with internal teams, clients, and project stakeholders. Proactively identifying technical issues and risks, developing appropriate solutions, and escalating when needed. Technical & Industry Experience Demonstrated experience delivering electrical engineering work on industrial projects (e.g., energy, mining, chemicals, power, or infrastructure). Working knowledge of engineering systems, workflows, and document management tools (e.g., SAP, KMS, or equivalent project systems). participation in HAZOP/LOPA where electrical systems interface with safety functions). Understanding of project scope definition, workshare execution, and the practical impacts of TA/NTA execution models. Solid working knowledge of Electrical Engineering deliverables, including: Electrical single-line diagrams and schematics Motor control center (MCC) layouts and schematics Lighting and small power layouts Area classification and hazardous area electrical layouts Bills of material Material requisitions Construction and engineering work packages Working knowledge of electrical system design and application, including: Motor control and protection systems Lighting systems and emergency power Hazardous area electrical design and applicable codes/standards #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pn7av
