Building Future Leaders Program – Production Supervisor This is a Safety Sensitive position Location: High River, AB Full-time permanent role Responsibilities Actively participate in BFL offerings, courses, meetings and other activities. Lead a positive change effort to improve performance by motivating, recognizing and inspiring others to be effective and efficient. Maintain a high level of awareness on safety, environmental and process compliance. Champion hazard identification, evaluation and control through behavior-based safety and risk assessment programs. Lead and direct all production operations for the duration of your shift (including rotating shift work). Increase employee engagement and improve the labor relations climate through participation in continuous improvement activities. Drive accountability for results and actions of direct reports through education, motivation, documentation and behavior-based coaching. Increase operator involvement in maintenance. Participate in root cause analysis (5‑why, fishbone, etc.) with team members, maintenance and engineering. Continuously improve the operational efficiency of the plant. Work with and support other department goals. Ensure proper documentation and complete reports (compliance checklists, production reports, spreadsheets, metrics, incident investigations, etc.). Facilitate effective meetings and team discussions. Effectively communicate with all levels both internal and external to the organization. Provide job training with STD work description, SOP and WI; safety training, STOP, FLRA and all other safety programs. Resolve any conflict immediately and ensure that behavior is in line with IKO values. Ensure a rigorous follow‑up of all 5S initiatives. Qualifications Senior (Expected May 2026 Grad) or recent graduate (within 12 months) specializing in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent Engineering program. Leadership experience preferred. Proficient in MS Excel (advanced functionality), MS Word, MS PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. Critical thinking skills and high degree of organization. Must be able to stand and walk frequently, work at heights occasionally, and lift up to 30 lbs unassisted. Fluent in English (spoken and written). Troubleshooting capability is a plus. Authorized to work in Canada and able to travel freely to the United States for training and site visits.
