Tow Truck Operator DAY SHIFT / NIGHT SHIFT (St. Albert)

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely towing vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely recovery operations. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, safety procedures, and the ability to operate specialized towing equipment. The Tow Truck Driver plays a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting our company's reputation for prompt and professional service. Responsibilities - Safely operate tow trucks to recover, transport, and deliver vehicles in various conditions. - Assist customers with vehicle recovery, providing courteous and professional service. - Conduct routine inspections of towing equipment and perform basic maintenance or report repairs needed. - Navigate traffic and road conditions efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations. - Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including time logs and vehicle details. - Follow all safety protocols to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues and customers. - Collaborate with dispatchers to prioritize jobs and coordinate timely pickups and drop-offs. - Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with vehicles or equipment when necessary. - Operate additional machinery such as forklifts if required, following proper safety procedures. Qualifications - Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for towing operations. - Proven experience in commercial driving, automotive repair, or related fields preferred. - Mechanical knowledge of vehicles and towing equipment is highly desirable. - Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally. - Ability to operate forklifts or similar machinery is a plus. - Excellent driving record with a clean background check required. - Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform manual tasks as needed. - Valuable communication skills and a responsible attitude toward safety standards are essential.
