Part-time Lifeguard/Swim Instructor (Brooks) (Alberta)

The City of Brooks is currently seeking a Part‑time Lifeguard to join our Aquatics team. Responsibilities The Part‑time Lifeguard position is a daytime position at the EID Aquatic Centre. You will be responsible for ensuring that pool and lifeguarding duties are performed to meet user, City, and regulatory authority standards. Requirements Minimum age 16 years or older. Must hold a National Lifeguard Certificate, Standard First Aid Certification, and Swim Instructor Certificate. Ability to work well in a team setting and possess robust public relations, interpersonal, and communication skills. Compensation & Benefits The 2026 wage range for this position is $18.98–$20.14 per hour. Candidates with a Swim Instructor Certification may receive an increased wage range of $20.74–$22.01 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will receive a free membership to the JBS Canada Centre during their term of employment. A clean criminal records check will be required before an offer of employment is presented to the successful applicant (18 years of age and older).
