Description The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Fall 2026 ACCT 323 LEC 07 (Introductory Managerial Accounting) with blended delivery. Instruction will be provided online via Zoom but the midterm and final examinations will be administered in person. Classes in the Fall 2026 semester run from September 1 to December 4, 2026. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between December 8 and December 18, 2026 if applicable. Course details: ACCT 323 (Introductory Managerial Accounting) LEC 07 – Tuesday / Thursday 6:30pm - 7:45pm online via Zoom. TUT 07 – Friday 5:00pm - 5:50pm online via Zoom. In person invigilation of the midterm and final exam will be required. Course description: "An introduction to the use of accounting within an organizational context. Emphasis is placed on the development and dissemination of accounting information necessary for effective management including planning, directing, motivating, and controlling activities and behaviors." ACCT 323 is a multi-section coordinated course. The successful candidate will be expected to fully align and cooperate with the Course Coordinator. Qualifications Completion of a related undergraduate degree is required. Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation from Canada is required. Previous post‑secondary accounting teaching experience is required. Preference will be given to applicants who have previous experience teaching ACCT 323. Experience in programs such as Zoom, D2L and other digital education products would be an asset.
