Supporting our transportation team’s success As a Transportation Department Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support and act as a key point of contact for drivers, dealers, and vendors, managing inquiries while maintaining accurate and compliant records. Led by the Transportation and Maintenance Manager, you will take on a range of responsibilities, including payroll support, reporting, and data management, while working collaboratively within a team environment to keep operations running efficiently, accurately, and seamlessly. Shift available Weekdays: Monday to Friday, 5:00am to 1:30pm Responsibilities Answering phones, assisting with inquiries from Drivers, Dealers, and Vendors. Collect and maintain current records ensuring compliance to transportation regulations. Generating reports, documents, memos, PowerPoint presentations and correspondence as required. Responsible for Payroll of Drivers - including Oracle entry, Timezone, Discoverer Reports, Pay Calculations and Revisions. Responsible for collecting, calculating kilometers, pick-ups and deliveries and recording the information from drivers trip reports. Entering the trip reports to ensure drivers kilometers, pick-ups and deliveries are accurate in the system. Purchase Order creation, invoice processing and detailed record keeping of monthly/annual department costs. Data collection and filing of Home Hardware Incident/Accidents, generating quarterly reports. Assemble KPI’s for daily, weekly, monthly reporting. Other reporting requirements and data entry duties related to the Drivers and Delivery Support. Qualifications 1-2 years’ experience. Ability to multi-task required with great attention to detail. Excellent computer skills necessary with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Discover Plus, LMS, and Cognos. Excellent oral, written and telephone communication skills. Understanding of transportation industry and knowledge of Home’s shipping/delivery procedures beneficial. Experience with Oracle and Timezone would be an asset. Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as play an active role within the Dispatch team. Flexibility to adapt within a fast-paced office environment. Benefits The expected starting salary range for this role is $42,500 - $55,800; the final offer will reflect relevant skills and experience. Eligible for the annual bonus program.
