Early Childhood Educator (Edmonton) (Alberta)

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and engaging environment for young children, supporting their developmental growth through creative and age‑appropriate activities. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Support children's social–emotional development by fostering positive interactions and conflict resolution skills. Observe and assess individual student progress, maintaining detailed records of developmental milestones. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to support each child's unique needs and learning style. Incorporate activities that promote motor skills, language development, and early literacy. Manage classroom routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions smoothly. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Requirements Must have a Level 3 Early Childhood Educator Certificate. Must have a valid drivers license. Prior experience working with children in an educational or caregiving setting is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practices. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Robust communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Classroom experience demonstrating the ability to create engaging learning environments. A genuine passion for teaching young children and supporting their growth. Relevant certifications or credentials in early childhood education are desirable but not mandatory.
