Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement & Production Co-ordinator to support purchasing, production, and transportation logistics. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials and supplies are available on time to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments. This team member will work closely with suppliers, warehouse teams, and sales teams to co-ordinate incoming materials, monitor inventory levels, and help align procurement and logistics with production and fabrication activities for improved efficiency throughout all company operations and processes. Responsibilities: Production Scheduling & Co-ordination - Assist in developing and maintaining daily and weekly production schedules. Support production planning to maximize efficiency and workflow. - Co-ordinate material availability with production timelines to ensure manufacturing continuity. Monitor inventory and assist with forecasting to support production schedules. - Work closely with production and sales teams to prioritize orders and adjust schedules based on customer and operational needs. - Monitor production progress and communicate scheduling changes to necessary stakeholders. - Co-ordinate scheduling adjustments related to urgent orders and shipping delays. Procurement & Supplier Co-ordination - Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, pricing, and delivery expectations are met. - Create and manage purchase orders and track order confirmations and delivery timelines. - Monitor supplier communications and assist in resolving shortages, delays, or quality concerns. - Collaborate with Production and Sales teams to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of supply issues. Logistics Co-ordination - Co-ordinate inbound international freight shipments (FCL, LCL, airfreight) with carriers, suppliers, and warehouse teams. - Track shipments and proactively communicate delivery updates to necessary stakeholders. - Assist with inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives. - Work with warehouse personnel to ensure timely material flow. Administration & Office Management · Manage office supplies inventory, ensuring timely reordering and cost control. · Assist with implementation of process improvements to streamline operations and increase productivity across operations and sales functions. · Maintain accurate procurement and logistics records. Prepare reports related to purchasing activity and shipping status. · Support additional operational and administrative functions as needed. Requirements & Experience: · Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. · Previous experience working in a production facility considered an asset. · Previous experience using inventory management software. · Strong communication skills and time management skills · Strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset. · Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. · Understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) Education · Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field. Work Environment · Office-based within a manufacturing setting. · Regular interaction on the production floor and warehouse areas.
