Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is hiring on behalf of a respected public accounting firm in the St. Catharines area. This is an Account Manager role ideal for professionals who thrive in a collaborative, client-focused environment and are looking to grow their expertise in taxation and compliance. About the Role As a Account Manager, you’ll play an key role in delivering high-quality public accounting and tax services. You’ll handle a variety of tax-related responsibilities, from preparing returns and supporting CRA audits to mentoring junior team members and providing trusted advice to clients. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare T3/T4/T5 slips and respond to pre- and post-assessment inquiries. - Assist with CRA audits (Payroll, HST, etc.) and maintain accurate financial records. - Prepare personal tax returns and assembly/compilation engagements (tax-focused). - Work directly with clients and team members to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Support and mentor co-op students in developing their accounting and tax skills. You’ll Be a Great Fit If You: - Have at least 2 years of experience in accounting or tax. - Possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and tax laws. - Enjoy reviewing and analyzing financial documents with precision and attention to detail. - Can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively. - Value client relationships and take pride in delivering exceptional service. - Have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (required for commuting). Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred). - Experience: Minimum 2 years in tax accounting (preferred). - Certification: CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA (preferred). - Transportation: Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license. Work Environment: This position is in-person at the St. Catharines office, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
