March 3, 2023 Now Hiring Wine Bar Sales Associate 13th Street Winery was voted the #1 Winery in Ontario by the National Wine Awards of Canada 2022 and is proudly celebrating 25 years of winemaking in Niagara. We offer a variety of experiences from seated wine tastings and wine-by-the-glass to educational wine seminars and casual seasonal outdoor dining at the Farmhouse Bistro. We also host formal dining experiences and private receptions and events. Our team is looking for highly motivated and sales-focused individuals with a passion for wine to help grow and expand our retail business. Position: Wine Sales Associate at 13th Street Winery The Wine Sales Associate is responsible for providing the ultimate guest wine tasting experience . The ideal candidate has a passion and knowledge of wine including hospitality experience and the ability to sell while providing an exception customer experience. Primary Responsibilities: o Execute engaging, educational, and memorable positive guest experiences that build brand loyalty. o Support and assist in growing the 13th Street Wine Club by meeting sales goals. o Assist with daily wine club groups, tasting room reservations and wine boutique sales. This includes greeting visitors and providing an exceptional and consistent customer service experience. o Assist with set-up and execution of winery planned and private events. o Provide group educational experiences on property. Job Requirements and Qualifications: Passion for knowledge of Niagara wine, wine and food pairings and willingness to continue to learn more. WSET or Sommelier Certification recommended Excellent hospitality, sales, organizational, and customer service skills. Professional appearance, approachable and positive demeanor. Must be available and willing to work evenings, holidays and weekends. Must have Smart Serve certification 13th Street Winery Compensation: Full-time and part time position with a competitive hourly rate Continuing education wine training from 13th Street Sommelier Shared portion of tips of the participation in service as it relates to the position.
