Job Summary Our client, a growing manufacturer within the specialized electronics manufacturing sector, is seeking a Machinist to support the production of precision-machined components used within custom technical assemblies. This role will focus on machining plastic and other specialized components using mills and related equipment while supporting day-to-day production requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong attention to detail, precision machining experience, and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
The Role
Operate milling machines and related machining equipment to manufacture precision components
Machine and modify plastic and specialized material components used within technical assemblies
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications
Perform machine setup, measurements, inspections, and adjustments to ensure product quality and accuracy
Support prototype, custom, and low-volume production work as required
Maintain tooling, equipment, and work areas in accordance with safety and quality standards
Collaborate with production and technical teams to support manufacturing timelines and continuous improvement efforts
Inspect finished components to verify tolerances and quality standards are achieved
Assist with process improvements related to machining efficiency and quality consistency
The Ideal Candidate
Machinist trade certification or equivalent hands‑on machining experience
Experience operating mills and machining precision components within a manufacturing environment
Comfortable machining plastics and other specialized materials
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, tolerances, and precision measurement tools
Experience with both manual and CNC equipment is considered an asset
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while contributing within a collaborative production environment
Reliable, adaptable, and motivated to support a growing manufacturing operation
Positive attitude and strong work ethic are highly valued within the team culture
