Kitchen Prep / Kitchen Assistant (St. Catharines)

Job Overview We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Prep / Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role involves daily food preparation, supporting cooks during service, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting with general kitchen operations. Fast-paced kitchen experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a robust work ethic and positive attitude. Responsibilities - Wash, cut, and prepare vegetables, meat, and other ingredients - Assist cooks by preparing and organizing ingredients during service - Prepare and handle rotisserie / roasted chicken products - Wash dishes, kitchen tools, and equipment - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and work areas - Restock inventory and organize supplies - Receive and move deliveries as needed - Follow food safety and kitchen procedures - Support the team with general kitchen duties Requirements - Able to work in a fast-paced environment - Comfortable lifting up to approximately 50 lbs - Ability to stand for extended periods - Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented - Basic kitchen or restaurant experience preferred - Food Handler Certification is an asset - Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to the workplace independently - Mandarin speaking preferred What We Offer - Stable hours - Friendly team environment - Training provided - Opportunity for growth within the kitchen team Job Type: Part-time Pay: $17.20-$22.00 per hour Benefits: - Casual dress - Flexible schedule - On-site parking Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pizj3
