Choosing a project, forming a team, creating budgets, scheduling, meetings, effective marketing strategies, and community building. SYN: Friday 14:00 17:00 Compensation Effective September 1, 2026 - $7, per half course (195 hours nominally) Effective September 1, 2026 - $15, per full course (390 hours nominally) Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty). Qualifications (The qualifications for this position have changed since it was last posted) 1. PhD in theatre and performance in Canada or a relevant, related discipline, with an emphasis on historical and contemporaryproducingpractices; or equivalent professional experience. 2. Significant,currentprofessionalcontributionstoproducingin Canada. 3. Successful, relevant,theoretically-informedpost-secondary teaching experience. Evidence of teaching effectiveness will ideally consist of a complete teaching dossier. Previouscourse evaluations, peer teaching evaluations, teaching letters of recommendation, or equivalentobjective,systematically collected evidence will also be considered. 4. Expertisein anti-oppressive, decolonizing, anti-racist, anti-supremacist, or related approaches to theatre making, theatre pedagogy, and/or theatrical practices. Evidence ofexpertisewill ideallydemonstratehow these principles are integrated into the applicants post-secondary teaching. Expertisemay include, for example, scholarly presentations orpublications, development of professional practices, academic or professional leadership, consulting work, or professional development or training. 5. Demonstratedability to use the BRIGHTSPACE online learning management system, the BrockDBonline portal, the OASIS system for managing student accommodations, or equivalent systems in other institutions.
