The Accounting Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day accounting operations for the Canadian division while managing a small accounting team. This is a highly hands‑on role that works closely with both local leadership and the corporate finance team. The successful candidate will thrive in a smaller company environment where collaboration, adaptability, and strong communication skills are essential. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, wearing multiple hats, and partnering with both accounting and non‑accounting stakeholders.What You’ll Be Doing

Oversee daily accounting operations including: Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable General Ledger Bank Reconciliations Payroll Lead and support a team consisting of: Accounts Payable Specialist Accounts Receivable Specialist Accounting Clerk/Assistant Manage month‑end and assist with year‑end audit preparation.Prepare and analyze financial reporting. Support project accounting activities related to manufacturing and construction projects. Work closely with the CFO and corporate finance team on financial reporting, data gathering, and process improvement initiatives. Provide guidance, mentorship, and day‑to‑day support to the accounting team.Participate in process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives. What We’re Looking For

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Previous people management or supervisory experience with direct reports is required. Experience with project accounting/project‑based financials is required. Strong hands‑on accounting experience from account reconciliations to financial reporting and planning.Robust communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non‑financial stakeholders. Comfortable working in a collaborative, diverse, and team‑oriented environment. Experience with ERP and HRIS systems required. Experience within manufacturing or construction‑related industries is considered a strong asset.CPA designation or actively working toward designation is considered a strong asset.
