Landscaper/Labourer (St. Catharines)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscaper/Labourer to join our outdoor maintenance team with a 5+ year experience. This role involves working on various landscaping projects, ensuring the aesthetic and functional quality of outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, construction, and landscape maintenance, with a robust work ethic and attention to detail. Prior experience with horticulture or mechanical tools is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to learn new skills. Duties - Assist with landscape installation, including planting, mulch, and soil preparation - Use hand tools and power tools for trimming, pruning, digging, and general maintenance - Maintain existing landscapes through mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control - Support construction projects related to outdoor structures or features - Conduct routine inspections and perform minor repairs on equipment - Follow safety protocols during all landscaping activities to ensure a safe work environment Skills - Knowledge with gardening practices, and horticulture principles - Strong understanding of landscape maintenance techniques and construction processes - Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and basic repairs - Proficiency with hand tools (shovels, pruners) and power tools (trimmers, drills) - Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions for extended periods - Good organizational skills with attention to detail in project execution - Willingness to learn new skills related to landscape design and maintenance This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in outdoor work and landscape development.
