Fluid Power Engineer (Hydraulics & Lubrication) (St. Catharines)

Title: Fluid Power Engineer Location: St. Catharines, ON Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: $80-$100k + Perks We are seeking a Senior Fluid Power Engineer with robust experience in heavy industrial environments to join our client, a leader in high performance equipment. This role focuses on advanced lubrication and hydraulic systems, with ownership of projects from concept and design through to commissioning, troubleshooting, and field support across North and South America. Responsibilities - Lead the design, sizing, and development of complex hydraulic and lubrication systems for industrial applications. - Own full project lifecycle delivery including design, documentation, commissioning, and start-up. - Collaborate with cross functional teams to define technical requirements and ensure successful execution. - Oversee system integration, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability. - Lead on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of installed systems. - Provide high level technical support and training to clients and internal teams. - Develop and review detailed engineering documentation including schematics, specifications, and BOMs. - Drive continuous improvement through innovation and application of industry advancements. Qualifications - Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology with specialization in fluid power systems. - 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial environments (steel, mining, or similar preferred). - Proven expertise in hydraulic and lubrication system design and field implementation. - Strong understanding of system integration, troubleshooting, and commissioning. - Knowledge of electrical instrumentation is considered an asset. - Willingness to travel across North and South America. - Multilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) is an asset.
