IT&Infrastructure Specialist, St. John's
Description
Job Posting: IT&Infrastructure Specialist About the Role This is a new role on our team. As we grow, we need someone to take ownership of the operational layer so the rest of the team can stay focused on building. You’ll make sure our tools, hardware, infrastructure, and office run smoothly day-to-day.

IT is the foundation of this role, but there’s real opportunity to contribute to development and DevOps work alongside the engineering team if that’s where your interests lie. If you’re an IT person who can code, or a developer who enjoys the operations side, read on.

What You’ll Do People&Workplace Operations

Run onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective: accounts, devices, and access, end-to-end

Manage software licensing and costs across the company

Own everything in our physical space: networking, hardware procurement, a standardized desk setup for every employee, and physical access control

Manage vendor relationships with ISPs, equipment suppliers, and hardware warranty providers

Keep a clean, well-documented inventory so we always know what we have and what we need

Build the runbooks so everything is consistent and auditable as we grow

Infrastructure&Compliance

Manage the test systems our dev team uses in the office, including the 3rd party systems we integrate with

Manage our website infrastructure

Device management and security policy across the team

Contribute to our SOC 2 efforts, including policy, procedures, and the operational controls that fall under IT

Cloud&Productivity Tools

Help administer our cloud environment: billing visibility, IAM, cost alerting, and keeping things tidy. We’re on Azure today but care more about the mindset than the specific platform

Same for productivity and collaboration tooling. We use M365, but we’d value someone with broad experience across modern stacks who can tell us when we’re using the wrong tool or paying for the wrong tier

Evaluate and rationalize the broader tool stack over time. We’d rather have fewer, better tools than a sprawl of subscriptions nobody uses

DevOps (Bonus Area)

Jump in and support the engineering team with developer operations as needed: pipeline work, environment setup, deployments, and infrastructure configs

This pairs naturally with cloud administration, but you won’t be running it solo. You’ll be working alongside our engineers

Comfort with CI/CD, containers, and cloud-native tooling is what we’re after here

What We’re Looking For We’re not hiring for a checklist. We’re looking for someone who’s done this kind of work before at a small company and knows what good looks like, even when there’s no playbook.

You probably have

3+ years in a broad IT role at a small or mid-sized company, ideally one where you figured things out as you went

Hands‑on experience managing IT budgets, including procurement, licensing, and keeping spend accountable without a finance team holding your hand

Familiarity with modern productivity and collaboration stacks (M365, Google Workspace, or similar). You know how to organize and govern these tools, not just use them

Experience with device management and endpoint security across a distributed team

Experience supporting SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audits, especially the IT controls side

The ability to prioritize your own work and execute with minimal oversight

Enough communication range to work with engineers, execs, and vendors in the same day

Bonus points for

Some development or DevOps experience. Comfort reading code, navigating deployment workflows, and picking up new tools quickly

Real cloud administration experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including managing IAM, watching billing, and keeping things tidy

Experience managing test lab or AV/integration hardware (DVRs, cameras, or similar connected systems)

Why Enaimco?

Modern gear. You’ll spec your own setup

Hybrid work from our St. John’s, NL office, with flexible working hours

Competitive salary and benefits, including health and dental coverage
