Server (St. John's)

Overview We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the food industry. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory, as we provide comprehensive training on our service standards and POS systems. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Duties - Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm - Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems - Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining quality standards - Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales - Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities - Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met during service - Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations - Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts - Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns promptly - Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods Experience - Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn - Familiarity with POS systems is a plus - Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction - Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and making change accurately - Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures - Experience with food industry standards including serving, upselling, and cash handling is advantageous - Ability to work in a quick-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail - Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for success in this role Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2o2io5
