Environment/Chemical Advisor Needed (St. John's)

Lead environmental initiatives as an Setting/Chemical Advisor, directly supporting safety performance within the East Coast EH&S; and Wells Project Team. Play a critical role in project documentation for the upcoming campaign. This contract position requires a passionate professional to evaluate chemicals and support safety standards until February 2027. You will guide chemical selections to minimize personnel risks and fulfill environmental compliance regulations. Engage in critical evaluations that impact marine safety practices while contributing to project success. Key Responsibilities: - Assist EH&S; and Wells Project Team with necessary documentation - Guide the safe selection of chemicals for project campaigns - Evaluate and screen chemicals for offshore usage - Support compliance with regulatory environmental reporting Requirements: - Completion of a degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or related fields - Familiarity with WHMIS 2015 and environmental toxicity - Experience in marine environments, specifically offshore oil and gas Your role will be pivotal in driving environmental safety and compliance during this project phase.
