Service Advisor, Hickman Chrysler (St. John's)

Hickman Automotive Group is looking for a Service Advisor to join our team at Hickman Chrysler. The Service Advisor's responsibility is to satisfy customers by providing exceptional customer service and expediting the repair and service of their vehicles within an expected length of time and at an expected cost. This position does not require automotive experience. Responsibilities - Enthusiastically meet and greet all customers promptly, in a friendly and professional manner. - List to customers vehicle concerns and provide clear explanations of the required service and repairs. - Prepare detailed repair orders, and coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. - Conduct preliminary assessments of conditions, recommend necessary services, and stay informed about the latest automotive technologies. - Documents vehicle problems by listening to customers describe them and by asking probing questions. - Maintains extensive contact with customers, phoning to provide estimates on service and repairs before jobs are begun, explaining the appointments/scheduling systems to customers, and establishing with customers the method of payment for repairs (cash, warranty, etc.). - Follow up with Customers post-service to ensure their satisfaction, address any concerns, and handle complaints professionally. - Constantly communicates with Technicians to obtain information on needed vehicle repairs. - Involves patiently listening to customers describe vehicle problems, determining the appropriate work involved in the repairs, and accurately recording problems and authorized repairs on work orders so that the Technician understands what to do. - Requires accuracy, attention to detail, and clear communication with other team members and departments in the dealership. - Assist with billing procedures, process payments, and maintain accurate service records. - Identify opportunities to recommend additional service or products that enhance vehicle performance and customer satisfaction Qualifications - High School Diploma, equivalent, or Post Secondary Degree/Diploma. - Automotive experience preferred. - Exceptional commitment to customer service. - Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. - Excellent skills in technology such as tablet, video, and text. - Marketing Knowledge. - A charismatic, business savvy personality. - Knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel. - High school diploma. - Above-average time management and organizational skills. - Strong work ethic. - Excellent interpersonal, telephone and communication skills. - Requires accuracy, attention to detail, and explicit communication. - Possess a valid NL driver's License and have maintained a clean driver's abstract.
