You will evolve in a multidisciplinary environment and develop skills by collaborating with experienced professionals, particularly on substation, hydroelectric power station, and renewable energy projects, with numerous clients across Canada. You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, including 2 days per week in our St. John's, NL, St. John, NB, or Halifax offices.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign and review the protection and control drawings of substation systems and power systemsCollaborate with members of the engineering team as well as project managers from other disciplinesResponsible of the development of electrical Command and Protection systems, including single‐line diagrams, logic diagrams, three‐line AC diagrams, protection and c.C. control diagrams, wiring drawings, device connection drawings, assembly plans, material lists and quotes for the manufacturing and installation on site of Control and Protection panelsSupervise the development of AC and DC station service power systems, including single‐line diagrams, AC & DC load calculations, AC & DC distribution diagrams, connection drawings of chargers, batteries, inverter, etc.Participate in site surveys (stations and power stations)Coordinate with engineering disciplines: equipment, civil, mechanical and building to develop design solutions for optimized and advanced substation and power plant systemsPossibility of carrying out site work sporadically when the opportunity arises (start‐up or monitoring)Perform QA/QC of the electrical engineering design packagesQualificationsUniversity Degree in Electrical engineering recognized in CanadaRegistered (or eligible to register as) member of a recognized Professional Engineering Association in Canada.5+ years of experience working on P&C projectsGood knowledge of protection and control principles and philosophies is mandatoryWork experience in the design of electrical systems3+ years' experience in detailed P&C design with major and/or local utilities in CanadaBasic knowledge of the office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)Why choose CIMA+Comprehensive Group Benefits available from day one for all permanent employees working at least 20 hours per weekEmployee and Family Assistance ProgramRetirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with up to 4% employer contributionAs an employee‐owned company, an annual opportunity to purchase shares for all employeesFlexible work schedule in a hybrid work modeWork/Life balance policy across Canada3‐5 weeks of vacation, based on years of relevant experienceTailored training to improve your existing skillsAdditional InformationEthics and integrity are fundamental values at CIMA+.
